East Lindsey Newsletter - April 2022

  • Last Updated: 15-12-2023 at 16:12

Hello Spring!

Longer days and brighter evenings have arrived. Over the last quarter I have been working alongside Neighbourhood Policing Teams and partner organisations to help improve community safety. This includes developing youth programs, planning Mutual Gain PB event, planning Fraud surgeries and other events throughout the year as well as attending local Town and Parish Council meetings.

Over the coming year I will be planning Community Fraud Surgeries which will give local communities advice on how to deal with concerns of fraud, receive reassurance and raise other concerns of general safety.

If you would like me to host one of these events in your local community,
please email me at roisin.mullee2@lincs.police.uk

Mutual Gain PB event

At the end of 2021 we held a successful World Café event, this was a listening event where residents shared the thoughts and insights on all thing’s community safety.

Following this local community groups were able to put in a bid of up to £2,500 from a pot of £15,000 for projects which would benefit the residents of Skegness. Over 70 people attended the PB event at Tower Gardens where each project had 3 minutes to present their bids to the local community who voted for those who they thought should receive funding.

Seven projects were successful and are now well underway to helping the local
community including taking children off the streets, providing safe spaces, therapy ponies visiting care homes and much more.

None of this would have been as successful if it wasn’t for the wonderful work of PCSO Michelle Collins.

Neighbourhood policing priority setting meetings

I continue to attend and or inform the Coast and Wolds Neighbourhood Priority Setting Meetings with any information, concerns, and feedbacks from residents. This information is used to identify priorities for each area.
