Walter Leschenko

Walter is a retired civil servant having worked in HM Passport Service leading the development and delivery of the UK’s first-generation biometric passport and culminating his career in the Dept Culture Media and Sport as Broadband UK Projects Director.

Walter was also part of a team of assessors in the Treasury Major Projects authority conducting independent assurance of government major projects.

 

His early career with Anglian Water was in leading a team designing and building new treatment plants and water infrastructure, then progressed through a  number of pan sector roles to Business Change programme management and delivery of major change and IT projects.

 

Through the latter part of his career he was a board member of Cambridgeshire Probation Service, Chartered Management Institute, the Training Education & Careers Partnership (Grimsby) and pension scheme trustee, he is currently an independent member of East Lindsey District Council Audit and Governance Committee and Council member of Lincoln Bishop Grosseteste University.

 

Walter now lives in Louth after moving from Rutland 5 years ago following retirement.
