Douglas Matthew

Douglas is member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. After a number of years within the accountancy profession in a range of audit roles he moved into the private sector where he was Chief Accountant and Company Secretary of a subsidiary of a FTSE 100 company and then Finance Director of a medium sized construction company.

For the past twenty years, before retiring at the end of 2014, Douglas worked for the Construction Industry Training Board (a non-departmental public-body sponsored by the Department of Business, Innovation & Skills) and as Head of Finance attended and supported their Audit Committee. For a short period he was a member of the Stamford and Bourne Magistrates’ bench.Â
