PCC supports launch of county’s new Cyber Security Forum
Lincolnshire’s new Cyber Security Forum is launching this month at a special breakfast seminar event.
The Forum, which is open to all businesses and interested computer students, will hold four events a year. It will focus on new IT developments and threats, helping businesses find affordable and manageable cyber defence procedures.
Marc Jones, Police and Crime Commissioner for Lincolnshire is supporting the launch, along with East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU).
He said: “It is fantastic to see Lincolnshire join the expanding national cyber resilience network. It is important that our county’s businesses are cyber aware and protected and this forum will do exactly that."
“If you would like to be part of this quarterly forum and have an involvement in understanding how cyber security/crime across the county can be tackled, I highly recommend attending the event.”
The first Cyber security forum will take place on the 17 April, 07:30am - 10:30am at The Elliot Rooms, Bishop Grosseteste University.
Any business, organisation, school, public or private sectors or individual who wish to be involved can book their ticket at Business Lincolnshire.
