Level 3 Apprenticeship

This Apprenticeship opportunity is within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Lincolnshire. The role involves undertaking clerical and administrative duties to support the OPCC’s objectives and will also involve studying with Lincoln College to achieve an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration alongside the Apprenticeship.


Duties will include:

  • Dealing with general enquiries, taking messages and responding to queries either by email, telephone or in person
  • Drafting basic correspondence and circulating documents as appropriate
  • Assisting with the management of correspondence including logging, tracking, case management, monitoring, archiving and with the reporting of trends and volumes which are presented at team meetings
  • Using spreadsheets to assist with the archiving of electronic and hard copy correspondence
  • Assisting with travel and accommodation requests
  • Assisting with research and briefing requests
  • Assisting with the management and data cleansing of contact details for VIPs, Government Offices, Councils and other key organisations
  • Assisting with record keeping, arrangements and documentation for meetings, events and engagements (internal and external)
  • Monitoring and maintaining stationery and office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels
  • Assisting with the production and submission of regional/national statistical returns for the Independent Custody Visitor Scheme
  • Undertaking photocopying, scanning and filing
  • Undertaking a range of other routine administrative tasks and prioritising them as directed
  • Undertaking the required Apprenticeship training and attendance at Lincoln College
